Our policies.

Cancellations and Rescheduling:
All no-shows or same day cancellations will be subject to a charge of 100% of all missed services. Any rescheduling or cancellations must be arranged no less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.

Late Arrivals:
For late arrivals, we offer a grace period of 25% of the scheduled appointment time slot (i.e 7.5 minutes for a 30 minute service, 15 minutes per 60 minute service). Clients exceeding this grace period are subject to a fee of 50% of all missed services and the appointment may be rescheduled to a further date.

Hair Growth Requirements for Appointments:
On the day of your appointment, if there is less than 2 weeks of hair growth (or less than ½ - ¼ inch), the service cannot be performed. A convenience fee of 25% of the total of missed services will be charged.

Waxing Before & Aftercare

  • Please arrive fresh to your appointment with at least 2-3 weeks of hair growth. Hair longer than ½ inch may cause more discomfort during the waxing process and is recommended to be trimmed prior to your appointment. Ideal hair length is ¼ to ½ inch. If the hair is shorter than this, your service may not be completed and will be rescheduled to a later date (see policy below). For best results, exfoliate the area 24-48 hours before your appointment. Sanitary wipes will be supplied upon request!

  • Post-Wax Body Waxing:
Avoid saunas, baths, tanning, swimming (in hot tubs & pools), exercise, and sex for the first 24 hours after your wax. It is okay to shower after your service, but avoid using very hot water as it can cause further skin irritation. Opt for loose-fitting clothing and cotton underwear. Tight clothing can cause friction and sweat, increasing the risk of bumps and ingrown hairs. Avoid touching the waxed area for the first 24 hours to minimize exposure to bacteria.

Beginning 48 hours after your appointment, gently exfoliate the area 2-3 times a week. Moisturize daily with a fragrance-free moisturizer. The combination of exfoliating and moisturizing will help prevent ingrown hairs, which are typically caused by dry and dead skin trapping growing hair follicles under the skin. Ask your service provider for recommendations regarding intimate area care!

  • Prior to your brow appointment, stop using retinols/retinoids at least a week before any scheduled waxing services. Clients with sunburned skin, those taking blood thinners, or those who have used Accutane in the last year CANNOT be waxed (see Full Brow Tweeze option). Wait at least 7 days for any facial waxing after receiving a chemical peel or microdermabrasion treatment. If you are diabetic, we suggest consulting your physician prior to receiving any waxing services.

  • To prevent any spread of bacteria, avoid touching any waxed areas for at least 24 hours. We suggest waiting at least 24 hours after your wax before engaging in activities that involve sweating or sun exposure.

FAQs.

Q: How long does my hair need to be?

A: A minimum of 2 weeks of hair growth is required for waxing. 3 weeks of growth is recommended.

Q: How often will I need to come back?

A:  Bikini : 3-5 weeks

     Brazilian : 4-6 weeks

     Brows : 3-5 weeks

     Underarms : 2-4 weeks

     Legs : 4-6 weeks

     Arms: 4-6 weeks

Q: Why do I still see stubble after being waxed?

A: If you are just starting your waxing journey or shave in between waxes, your hair growth will be in different stages. This causes the hair to grow at different times, and will be the reason for those tiny little hairs coming through that the wax can’t pull. Consistency with your wax schedule (coming in regularly according to the body part being waxed - see info above!) and not shaving at all in between will yield you those silky smooth results after up to your third consecutive wax appointment. Patience is key!

Q: What is the difference between a bikini wax, full bikini wax, and Brazilian wax?

A: A bikini wax may include anything in the front omitting the labia area. A full bikini wax includes the entire vulva, including the labia area. A Brazilian wax includes a full waxing of the vulva and also includes a butt strip.

Q: Can I get waxed while menstruating?

A: Clients may be waxed while menstruating with a fresh tampon in. Do be advised that your skin is significantly more sensitive and your pain tolerance is lower during this time in your cycle. If you are new to waxing, it may be a good idea to reschedule your appointment for a further date for this reason.

Q: What kind of wax do you use, hard or soft?

A: We use soft wax specifically catered to sensitive skin for all of our services. For both body waxing and facial waxing, each gentle wax is formulated with ingredients including zinc oxide and azulene that soothe, protect, and calm the skin both during and after the service delivery.

Azulene is a dark blue, aromatic organic compound that is found in plants and used in many skincare products. It's known for its anti-inflammatory and calming properties.
